Background

The Training and Events Sales Executive is a part-time role responsible for driving participation and revenue for Amara Capital Limited’s training programs and business networking events. This hybrid position is based in Nairobi County, Kenya, with a mix of on-site engagements and work-from-home tasks.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying prospective clients, conducting outreach through calls, emails, and meetings, and presenting training and event offerings to business owners and decision-makers. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, following up on leads, closing registrations, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and outcomes. The Executive will also collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with event schedules, support basic event coordination activities, and provide feedback on market trends to enhance future programs.

Qualifications

Strong sales and business development abilities, including lead generation, client relationship management, and deal closing. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage business owners and clearly explain training and event value propositions. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple prospects, follow-ups, and deadlines in a part-time schedule. Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including effective use of digital tools (email, CRM systems, spreadsheets, video conferencing) for remote sales activities. Prior experience in event sales, training services, or B2B environments is highly beneficial. Understanding of the local business landscape in Nairobi County and surrounding areas is an advantage. Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and a collaborative mindset when working with colleagues and clients. Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will be considered.
