Our client, a leading organization in the security services sector, is seeking to recruit a Transport & Logistics Officer to coordinate fleet operations, transport logistics and security-related vehicle movements.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily and weekly route schedules for company vehicles, Cash-in-Transit (CIT) units, dog section units, alarm response units and other operational vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle tracking systems, GPS and telematics in real time.
- Coordinate routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, insurance renewals and NTSA compliance.
- Coordinate emergency response with Quick Response Teams (QRTs) in cases of security incidents, breakdowns or road accidents.
- Enforce transport and security SOPs for drivers, crews and escorts.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, waybills, gate passes and incident reports.
- Verify that drivers hold valid driving licences and required certifications.
- Ensure compliance with defensive driving and other mandatory driver-training requirements.
- Liaise with police stations, highway patrols and relevant client contacts during transit emergencies or investigations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering fleet performance, fuel efficiency and security incidents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- At least 3 years' hands-on experience in fleet/transport coordination, preferably combined with private security operations or logistics.
- Valid Kenyan driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan geography and major road networks.
- Experience using GPS/fleet tracking or telematics systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
