As we grow our team, we’re looking for a seasoned Travel Consultant who is deeply passionate about travel, highly knowledgeable in both international and safari destinations, and skilled at designing personalized, high-touch travel experiences for our mid- to luxury clientele.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to Travel Inquiries: Handle leads from walk-ins, referrals, website, social media, and partnerships.
- Craft Tailor-Made Packages: Create personalized travel itineraries for both leisure and safari travelers based on unique needs, not templates.
- Know What You Sell: Go beyond copying supplier offers. Understand the destinations, products, and experiences you’re recommending.
- Curate Luxury and Mid-Range Experiences: Match client preferences with appropriate flight, hotel, transfer, and tour options.
- Client Relationship Management: Build travel profiles to store preferences and preempt needs. Maintain contact before, during, and after travel to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Stay Informed: Regularly update yourself on global travel trends, visas, protocols, and destination highlights.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with content, finance, and operations to ensure seamless booking and trip delivery.
You’ll Thrive If You Have...
- 5+ years of proven experience in selling both international and East African safari travel.
- Strong knowledge of destinations such as Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, South Africa, Central Europe, and Masai Mara, Amboseli, Serengeti.
- A customer-first mindset and exceptional communication skills.
- Curiosity and creativity when crafting itineraries—tailoring not templating.
- A sharp eye for quality—able to distinguish between good and great travel experiences.
- Experience with CRM or inquiry tracking tools is a plus.
