About One Acre Fund

Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. This is all made possible by our team of 9,000+ full-time staff, drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. To learn more, please see our Why Work Here blog post.

Our Kenya program, founded in 2006, operates under the local brand Tupande. Close to 500 staff in our Kakamega headquarters support 1,747 field staff and serve more than 1 million farmers. In Nairobi, around 50 staff support global functions like procurement, recruitment, government relations, and communications.

About the Role

This role provides critical day-to-day coordination for the Crop Sourcing Team. This role ensures smooth operational execution in their respective value chains by managing sourcing calendars, tracking KPIs, and generating performance reports. The Specialist helps align field and office-based teams with tools, schedules, and data insights that keep aggregation activities on track.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update daily/weekly sourcing trackers and dashboards
  • Monitor performance vs. seasonal targets and flag potential bottlenecks
  • Support planning and rollout of aggregation timelines and logistics coordination
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and visual dashboards for leadership and field teams
  • Coordinate execution resources (forms, tools, logs) for sourcing teams
  • Serve as the bridge between strategy and field execution through real-time insights
  • Design and pilot loyalty or incentive schemes to boost farmer retention and supply volumes.
  • Ensure compliance with the set quality thresholds
  • Identify gaps in farmer engagement and recommend targeted support interventions.
  • Design and maintain the TA-facing aggregation toolkits, briefing materials and quality routines
  • Build trackers, tools and reports crop-agnostic by design, so teams and portfolios can move across value chains without rework.
  • Manage Coordinators, Supervisors and the crop sourcing team below them.

You'll have weekly check-ins with your manager, access to mentorship and training programs, and regular feedback on your performance.
