Position Summary:
We are looking for experienced and motivated Tutor to teach, mentor, and support students across a range of diploma and certificate courses in Information Technology and related fields. The ideal candidate must be capable of inspiring learners and delivering quality instruction in both theoretical and practical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and learning aids in line with the syllabus.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely academic support and feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, staff meetings, and training workshops.
- Mentor and guide students in projects, research, and career development.
- Ensure classroom discipline and uphold institutional values and policies.
- Stay current with technological trends and integrate relevant updates into instruction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field. At least 1–2 years of teaching experience at the college or tertiary level.
- Experience and knowledge in computer applications, graphic design, programming, and computerized accounting.
- Conversant in Arabic or Somali.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Passionate about teaching and mentoring young minds.
