Job Objective
Reporting to the Head of Department - Business and Economics
Duties and responsibilities
- Teaching Course Units in areas allocated by the Head of Department,
- Evaluating the outcomes of individuals learning through formal assessment,
- Assisting in the development of learning materials and producing study manuals, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records
- Monitoring student progress, achievement and attendance and following through, in any case, requires attention to their full logical conclusion
- Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking of examinations and other assessments
- Carrying out research, writing research grant proposals, and obtaining support for research funding in line with the Universitys objectives.
- Seek and participate in consultancies.
- Dissemination of research outputs.
- Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
- Carrying out administrative duties
- Any other duties as they may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.
Qualification and experience
- Master of Science in Health Systems Management degree or in a relevant field from a recognised/accredited University in the relevant field
- Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management degree or in the relevant field from a recognised/accredited University.
- At least three years of post-qualification work experience;
- Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
- Commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
