JOB TITLE: VAN DRIVER

NATURE OF JOB: PART TIME

SALARY: KSHS. 20,000-25,000

JOB LOCATION: RUIRU

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safe Driving & Route Management

Drive the company van safely according to traffic laws and road safety standards.

Follow assigned delivery or pick-up routes within Nairobi and nearby areas.

Maintain punctuality and report delays or issues promptly.

Vehicle Checks & Basic Maintenance

Perform basic pre-trip inspections (tires, lights, brakes, fuel levels).

Keep the van clean and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.

Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before each trip.

Loading & Offloading Goods

Assist with loading and unloading goods carefully to prevent damage.

Secure cargo appropriately during transit.

Record Keeping

Maintain basic trip logs, including mileage and fuel usage if required.

Report any incidents, damages, or delays to the supervisor.

Compliance & Safety

Follow traffic rules and company safety procedures.

Use safety equipment (seat belts, warning triangles, etc.) as required.

Professional Conduct

Maintain courteous and professional behavior when interacting with clients or team members.

Represent the company positively during all duties.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Valid Class B, C & E driving license.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a van driver or in a similar role.

Good knowledge of Nairobi road networks and traffic regulations.

Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

Ability to work part-time with flexible hours, including weekends if required.

Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.

Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and integrity.
