Background

Progressive Credit is a Non-deposited taking microfinance with branches across the country. We are looking for suitable candidate for the following position: Vehicle and General Chattels Valuer.

You will be responsible for strategically managing Progressive Credit commercial car loans and for providing full valuation services to the company. Your role will involve estimating Market Value of vehicles and other chattels while making thorough checks considering set factors.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Study details of the technical request pertaining to the vehicle and ensure all documents required are availed.
  • Physically confirm vehicle details and vehicle condition.
  • Conduct a brief road test of the vehicle being valued to ascertain its condition.
  • Ensure professional technical reporting and computing of the assessed values.
  • Provide a full professional and technical service in respect of all chattels matters, advising and undertaking varying casework to ensure the effective management of the group’s assets.
  • Adhere to the staff Code of conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Actuarial science or any other relevant course.
  • Three years of experience in Valuation
  • Registered Valuer
  • Experience of working and making decisions in car and general chattels environment.
  • Experience of assessing Car, valuation, inspection, performance and preparing/presenting associated reports.
