Gap Recruitment Services Limited is a leading recruitment firm in Kenya where International and local companies find just the right fit talent.
A growing film and creative production company is looking for a highly talented Video Editor to join its creative team on a remote consulting basis.
This opportunity is for someone who is technically excellent, creatively sharp and highly independent. You will be trusted to take raw footage and creative direction and transform it into polished, engaging and professional video content.
We are not looking for someone who needs constant direction. We are looking for someone who can own the edit.
Responsibilities or duties
The Role You will be responsible for taking projects from raw footage through to final delivery, ensuring every piece of content meets a high creative and technical standard.
You will:
- Edit professional video content for different projects, platforms and audiences.
- Shape raw footage into compelling stories with strong pacing and visual flow.
- Make independent creative decisions around sequencing, transitions, music and storytelling.

- Manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines consistently.
- Maintain an organised and efficient post-production workflow.
- Respond to feedback and make revisions quickly without losing the creative intent.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

- Strong professional experience in video editing and post-production.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent.
- Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of pacing, composition, colour and sound.
- A strong eye for detail and consistency.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Strong judgement and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- The discipline to deliver high-quality work without constant follow-up.
- A professional approach to handling feedback and revisions.
Experience needed
