Responsibilities or duties
To provide efficient and courteous food service to patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring adherence to hospital hygiene and dietary standards.
- Serve meals and beverages to patients, staff, and guests promptly and professionally.
- Assist patients with meal setup where necessary, observing dietary instructions.
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of food from kitchen to service areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and serving areas.
- Collect used trays, utensils, and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
- Communicate patient feedback or dietary concerns to the kitchen team.
- Adhere to infection prevention, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Support stock control and replenishment of service items.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
Certificate in Food & Beverage Service or Hospitality is an added advantage.
Experience needed
Previous experience in a hospital or hospitality setup is preferred.
