Job Purpose

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing professional and efficient food and beverage service, ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable dining experience. The role requires excellent customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and assist them in selecting meals and beverages.
  • Take customer orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure tables, dining areas, and service stations remain clean and well organized.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to customer requests and concerns.
  • Process customer bills and payments accurately where applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and customer service standards.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas before, during, and after service.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Promote a positive image of the establishment through professional conduct.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Certificate in Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality Management, Catering, or a related hospitality course.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
