COUNTY YOUTH SERVICE AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
INTERNAL ADVERT
Pursuant to the Constitution 2010 under the Article 55, the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, and in accordance with the provisions of the Kakamega County Youth Service and Women Service Act No. 5 of 2019, the County Government of Kakamega invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions below as part of the beneficiaries of the Programme.
1.0 Ward Supervisors (60 POSTS)
Terms of Service: Contract of one (1) year
Monthly consolidated Stipend: Ksh. – 15,000 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
The officer will assist the Director - CYSWEP and will be responsible for the following roles:
- Shall carry out daily supervision of the service members within the ward;
- Shall submit weekly reports to the Sub County Coordinator on the hours each service member has worked to facilitate payments;
- Shall maintain work ticket for the Motorcycle assigned to you;
- Shall maintain database of all service members working under your jurisdiction;
- Shall liaise with team leaders to ensure each service members have accomplished their measured work;
- Shall arbitrate any conflict within the ward, and refer cases not within your scope to the Sub County Coordinator;
- Shall liaise with Ward Administrator to ensure the programme is run well within that ward;
- Shall ensure welfare of the service member at the Ward level; and
- Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
All candidates will be expected to satisfy the following minimum requirements:
- Be a member of the 4th Cohort of CYSWEP
- Be a resident of Kakamega County;
- Have a Kenyan ID card or Valid Passport;
- Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E);
- Have Good Communication Skills;
- Be medically fit with the ability to undertake physical activities; and
- No previous criminal conviction or record.
NOTE
1) During interviews, shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the following original documents: - National Identity Card and Academic Certificates.
2) Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualifications.
3) Kakamega County is an equal employer and therefore all candidates with the necessary requirements are encouraged to apply.
