Background information about the job or company
Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient management of both raw materials and finished goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, team leadership, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities or duties
- Lead and oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. Develop and continuously improve warehouse processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory accuracy at all times. Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits, investigating and resolving inventory variances.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise warehouse personnel. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities. Manage receiving, inspection, storage, picking, and dispatch processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment. Ensure all warehouse equipment remains safe, functional, and compliant with operational requirements.
- Drive Lean Warehouse and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency. Monitor warehouse KPIs and analyze operational data to improve performance.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and warehouse compliance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/Warehouse Management Systems.
Experience needed
- Minimum of 10 years experience in warehouse management.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large warehouse teams.
