We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented and highly organized Weighbridge Clerk to support weighbridge operations at a busy industrial plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording and monitoring all incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining weighbridge records, preparing reports, and ensuring all transactions are captured accurately within the system.
This role requires a professional who is numerically competent, highly organized, and capable of maintaining accuracy while working in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record the weight of all incoming and outgoing vehicles, materials, and products.
- Operate weighbridge systems and ensure all transactions are correctly captured.
- Issue weighbridge tickets, delivery notes, and related documentation.
- Verify documentation accompanying materials entering and leaving the facility.
- Ensure compliance with weighbridge procedures and operational controls.
- Maintain accurate weighbridge records and filing systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly weighbridge reports.
- Reconcile material movements and identify any discrepancies.
- Maintain transaction logs and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure all records are updated and readily accessible.
- Liaise with transport, operations, production, and sales teams to facilitate smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Escalate inconsistencies, irregularities, or operational concerns to management promptly.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and integrity standards.
- Ensure accuracy and accountability in all weighbridge transactions.
- Support stock control and inventory reconciliation processes where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years clerical or administrative work experience.
- Must be 25 years of age or above.
- Previous experience in weighbridge operations, logistics, transport, manufacturing, quarry, construction, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation abilities.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain data integrity.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and willing to work extended or varying hours when required.
