Responsibilities or duties

  • Reading and interpreting drawings for works;
  • Carrying out costing and quantity of works and equipment;
  • Supervise maintain works and equipment;
  • Supervise staff under them to work as assigned;
  • Preparing work schedules;
  • Making requisition of requires materials from central stores;
  • Supervising construction work on internal projects;
  • Reporting on technical matters in relation to construction projects; and
  • Ensuring delivery of quality services and workmanship.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

BMA is ISO 9001:2015 Certified Providing Competent Human Resource for sustainable Blue Economy

Experience needed

  • At least three (3) years' work experience at the grade of Works Officer II or in a comparable position;

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or any other relevant field;
  • Registration with the Engineer's Board of Kenya or relevant professional body;
  • Proficiency in computer application.
