Qualifications and Requirements
The Year 1 & 2 Class Teacher needs to:
- Be a fully qualified teacher with Key Stage 1 training and experience (QTS or have a valid TSC Certificate).
- Have experience of working in British Curriculum schools.
- Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and families.
- Work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships with colleagues.
- Create a stimulating, engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Show initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
- Be proactive and enthusiastic, with a desire to be fully involved in all aspects of life in a leading preparatory school.
- Be punctual and use preparation time effectively.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with both adults and children.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills.
- Show a competent standard of written English.
- Use ICT effectively in teaching; experience with interactive screens and iPads is an advantage.
- Provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate or International Certificate of Child Protection (ICPC).
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Keep up to date with educational developments in the UK
