Role & Purpose Statement:

The Training Academy Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth by increasing enrollment of external candidates into Tradewinds Training Academy programs. The role focuses on proactive sales generation through direct outreach, strategic partnerships, and digital marketing initiatives targeting aviation stakeholders including airlines, air operators, airport personnel, cargo and logistics companies, aviation security personnel including private security firms.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Generation & Business Development

  • Actively identify, target, and convert new clients through direct sales, cold calling, and relationship building.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective students and corporate clients.
  • Promote Academy training programs to airlines, ground handlers, cargo agents, aviation security companies, and related stakeholders.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and follow-ups to secure training enrolments.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external training inquiries and corporate accounts.
  • Identify client training needs and purpose suitable training solutions.

Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns (digital and traditional).
  • Manage and grow the Academy’s presence across social media platforms and digital channels.
  • Support development of marketing materials, brochures, and promotional content.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets for external candidates.
  • Track and report weekly to the Head of Training, key sales metrics, including leads, conversions, and revenue.
  • Maintain accurate client and sales records.

Digital and Content Execution

  • Create high quality marketing visuals with Canva or similar marketing tools.
  • Develop engaging social media content aligned with academy branding.
  • Utilize AI tools to generate marketing copy, campaigns, and outreach messaging.
  • Manage and optimize digital lead generation funnels.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Strong presentation and proposal development skills.
  • Basic understanding of the aviation training industry is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in CRM Systems, with previous experience in HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar is an advantage.
  • Ability to capture, update and maintain accurate client and sales data within the CRM.
  • Experience using CRM tools for:
    • Lead tracking and pipeline management;
    • Client follow-ups and engagement history;
    • Reporting on sales performance and conversion metrics;
  • Basic photography and content creation skills, including working knowledge of Nikon cameras (or similar DSLR equipment) for capturing high quality marketing visuals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sales and marketing.
  • Experience in training institutions, aviation, logistics, or security sectors preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media campaign execution is highly desirable.
