Terms of service: Permanent
Basic Salary: Kshs. 25,420.00 to Kshs. 33,170.00 p.m
Job Group: E
House Allowance: as per civil service guidelines
Medical Cover: SHA
Leave Allowance: as per civil service guidelines
Leave Entitlement: 30 working days per one financial year
Key Qualifications:
- Kenyan citizen
- KCSE C (Plain)
- CPA Part II
- At least three (3) years’ experience in accounts, preferably in learning institution
- Age: 25yrs – 45yrs
Other requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge in the professional field of specialization
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take instructions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Issuing serialized and official receipts for funds received in the institution
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Making all authorized and supported payments from college funds
- Preparing payment vouchers, receipting and managing suppliers statements
- Routine accounting work such as writing of cash books, maintaining fees registers.
- Timely preparation of bank reconciliation statements
- Assisting in the preparation of institution budgets, monthly trial balances, quarterly financial reports and financial statements in accordance with accrual basis of accounting under IPSAS.
- Ensure safe custody of the institution’s records for reference purposes to enhance easy retrieval of the information.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Principal/School Bursar/Finance Officer.
