Africa Finance Business Partner - Product Supply

Job Purpose:

  • Act as a co-pilot - Principal Finance support and business partner for Africa PS Lead
  • Steer financial processes and analytics for Row Crop Seeds across AFR manufacturing sites
  • Provide economics and financial analytics to support operational team & management in their decisions
  • Act as a coach for the AFR PS finance team – manage AFR PS finance communi

Responsibilities or duties

  • Drive regional consolidation of KPI’s for Africa
  • Deliver financial data driven analysis & simulations monthly, forecasts, budgets and SBP
  • Provide cost analysis & explanations to support key business decisions (CAPEX, Crop plan)
  • Develop analytical tools used to provide visibility of product supply performance indicators
  • Share recommendations to seize opportunities or overcome challenges
  • Interact and support key business decisions
  • Ensure costing activities are performed in accordance with Group policies Support controllership & drive interactions with both external & internal auditors to ensure full compliance of the sites activities
  • In collaboration with the EMEA PS Finance lead and EMEA RC PS Finance BP:
  • Develop & steer a community of skilled site controllers and grower accountants
  • Discuss, prepare & execute succession planning and individual development plans
  • Maintain a working environment that reflects company values (empowerment, collaboration with accountability, inclusion, focus on customer, act learn fast and evolve)
  • Ensure efficient work & networking with teams across geography and functions
  • Lead continuous improvements Ensure all operations are consistently performed across sites
  • Identify & mitigate weaknesses in internal processes
  • Drive a culture of compliance within sites where Site Controllers operate
  • Maintain training materials to ensure proper on boarding of newcomers
  • Leverage & share best practices and knowledge across team

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelor degree in finance, controlling or accounting
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in finance in the manufacturing or agriculture sectors
  • This role involves managing a multi-country scope and previous experience in such roles is critical
  • Successful track record on coaching / leading multicultural teams
  • Knowledge of financial system (SAP) and expert usage of MS Excel
  • Experience in Costing & Manufacturing environment (Agriculture experience is appreciated) / Knowledge of product supply processes
  • Ability to navigate trough matrix organization and connect in a broad cross functional / multicultural network
  • Strong storytelling capabilities with the ability to connect business dynamics and financials
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English

Experience needed

A minimum of 10 years' experience in finance in the manufacturing or agriculture sectors. This role involves managing a multi-country scope and previous experience in such roles is critical. Successful track record on coaching / leading multicultural teams. Experience in Costing & Manufacturing environment (Agriculture experience is appreciated) / Knowledge of product supply processes.
