Advising farmers on techniques to improve crop yield, quality, and sustainability.
Conducting field trials and research to test new technologies, crop varieties, and management methods.
Monitoring crop health, environmental factors, and weather data.
Training farm staff and communicating findings and recommendations to farmers and other clients.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of agronomy, soil science, crop production, and pest/disease management. Experience with laboratory testing equipment is beneficial.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and identify trends to solve problems.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication to explain complex information and train others.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage projects, plan field activities, and maintain accurate records.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work irregular hours during peak seasons and stay current with new developments.
Problem-Solving: A strong focus on identifying and solving issues related to crop production and sustainability.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proven expertise in the position applied for
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
