Role Overview

Flamingo Horticulture Kenya Limited is seeking an Agronomy Graduate Trainee to support crop management and farm operations. This role is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about farming and interested in developing practical experience in agronomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of crop schedules and field activities.
  • Assist with crop management practices including nutrition, protection and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
  • Monitor crop performance and contribute to identifying improvements in agronomy practices.
  • Work closely with farm teams to support efficient operations.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting related to agronomy and crop performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related agricultural field with a minimum Second Class Upper Division.
  • Must have graduated within the last two years.
  • Strong passion for farming and crop production.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
  • Understanding of soil-based and soilless crop production systems and crop husbandry principles.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
