Role Overview:

We are seeking an Anaesthesia Assistant to support our anaesthesiologists and surgical teams in delivering safe, high-quality care. The role involves preparing anaesthesia equipment, assisting during procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control protocols in theatre and recovery areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check anaesthesia machines, drugs, and equipment.
  • Assist anaesthesiologists during induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Monitor patient vitals and promptly escalate concerns.
  • Maintain sterility and infection control standards in theatre.
  • Clean, disinfect, and restock anaesthesia equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Anaesthesia Technology, or perioperative theatre Technology or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in anaesthesia assistant role
  • Registration and valid license with the relevant council.
  • BLS/ACLS certification is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of anaesthesia procedures and equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, safety, and patient care.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, nights, and weekends.
