About the Role

Our client is seeking an Analytics, Reports (BI) & Campaign Support Engineer to support the smooth operation of business analytics, reporting and campaign platforms. The role will be responsible for ensuring service availability and performance, supporting BI and campaign projects and integrations, and ensuring systems are appropriately sized, scheduled and optimized to meet business requirements and deliver functional business KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily BI KPI dashboards with relevant departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage the RA validation process before campaigns go live.
  • Own incidents, track resolution and provide timely stakeholder updates, including escalations.
  • Maintain functional architecture and system overviews and ensure appropriate capacity management.
  • Administer data warehouse components to facilitate the availability of reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and support Business Intelligence and self-service reporting solutions.
  • Track promotions and process reports relating to remuneration, bonuses and commissions.
  • Undertake data mining, business process simulation and analysis of trends and data gaps, providing insights to the business.
  • Support data modelling, dimensioning and report development while ensuring completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
  • Support campaign project handovers to operations, including UAT sign-off.
  • Assist the business during requirements gathering for enhancement projects and initiatives.
  • Support audit and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable IT and business processes.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification in databases, ETL and Unix/Linux systems.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an IT role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience with ETL platforms such as Canvas, Fractal or Rubix.
  • Strong experience in SQL.
  • Experience implementing and operating campaign management systems across multiple business units/customers.
  • Experience managing diverse and complex platforms and environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, DB2 and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix systems and ITIL.
  • Ability to define and implement effective IT service operations processes and manuals.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
