The Artisan III (Pump Operator) is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of pumps and pumping equipment.

Pump Operation: Operate and control pumps, valves, and related equipment for water supply, sewerage, or irrigation systems.

Monitoring: Monitor pump performance, pressure, flow rates, and other operating parameters to ensure efficient operation.

Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, including greasing, oiling, filter cleaning, and minor repairs on pumps and motors.

Troubleshooting: Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults in pumping equipment.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of pump operation, maintenance activities, and equipment hours.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Cleanliness: Keep pump stations and equipment clean and well-maintained.

Reporting: Report any major malfunctions or failures to the supervisor promptly.

The Coast Water Works Development Agency (CWWDA) is a state Corporation in the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation which was created under the Water Act 2016.The area of Jurisdiction of CWWDA across all counties of the Coast Region namely; Lamu, Tana River, Kilifi, Mombasa, Kwale and Taita Taveta.

The Agency wishes to recruit self driven, result oriented, highly motivated and persons of high integrity to fill the positions listed below; -

  • Operate and control pumps, valves, and related equipment for water supply, sewerage, or irrigation systems.
  • Monitor pump performance, pressure, flow rates, and other operating parameters to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including greasing, oiling, filter cleaning, and minor repairs on pumps and motors.
