Background

The Government Legal Office is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Assistant Legal Advisor to join their team. This role will provide crucial legal support to various government departments and agencies.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Legal Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal advice and opinions to government officials.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and legislation.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
  • A Post-graduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law.
  • Admission to the Kenyan Bar as an Advocate of the High Court.
  • At least 3 years of post-admission experience in legal practice.
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of public law and administrative law is an added advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience is required.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position within the Government Legal Office. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals.
