International Humanity Foundation (IHF)
The International Humanity Foundation (IHF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering disadvantaged children and communities worldwide. We are currently seeking dedicated, high-integrity individuals to join our team on-site at our Kenya center.
Role Overview
As an At-Center Volunteer, you will live and work alongside our children and local staff. This is a hands-on role where you will balance childcare, educational support, and administrative tasks. You are the direct support system for our children, ensuring they grow up in a safe, organized, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Childcare: Supervise and engage with children during meals, study time, and recreational activities.
- Educational Support: Assist children with homework, provide tutoring in basic subjects, and help facilitate center classes.
- Center Operations: Assist with daily chores, meal preparation, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility.
- Digital Documentation: Use basic computer knowledge to update child progress reports and communicate with the global IHF network.
- Lead Responsibility – Training & Mentorship: Help orient and train new arriving volunteers on center rules, cultural norms, and daily schedules.
? Requirements:
- Location: Must be willing to live on-site at the IHF center in Kenya.
- Citizenship: Open to Kenyan citizens and international applicants.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (Police Clearance).
- Conduct: Strictly no drug or substance use (IHF maintains a zero-tolerance policy to ensure child safety).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy (Emails, Google Sheets/Docs) and the ability to work effectively with children of all ages.
- Traits: Patient, disciplined, and possessing a strong work ethic.
