Role Purpose
Our client is a well-established professional services firm providing accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base.The Audit Associate will support external and internal audit engagements while also actively participating in outsourced accounting assignments, reconciliations, and periodic financial reporting for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Audit
- Assist in planning and execution of audit assignments
- Perform audit testing and documentation in line with ICPAK standards
- Prepare working papers and audit schedules
- Participate in stock counts, confirmations, and fieldwork
- Support preparation of audit reports and management letters
Outsourced Accounting
- Maintain client books of accounts (posting, reconciliations, reviews)
- Prepare trial balances and financial statements
- Support VAT, PAYE, withholding tax reviews
- Assist in month-end and year-end closings
- Work with cloud accounting systems (Zoho Books / QuickBooks)
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA (Part I or II) or actively pursuing CPA
Prior experience in audit or outsourced accounting is an added advantage
Strong understanding of basic accounting and audit principles
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
Willingness to learn and grow in a hybrid role
