Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the imports/forwarding business, preferably with China–Africa trade routes.
  • Existing client portfolio or the ability to bring active buyers/business owners seeking import services.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, consolidation, shipping timelines, customs processes, and supplier coordination.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, meet targets, and handle multiple client accounts efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a personal portfolio of clients looking to import goods (retailers, wholesalers, SMEs).
  • Guide clients through the entire import process – sourcing, supplier vetting, payment, consolidation, shipping, and delivery.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates, quotations, and updates on shipment status.
  • Maintain strong client relations through consistent communication, problem-solving, and after-sales support.
  • Hit weekly and monthly onboarding/sales targets while representing the company professionally.
