Key Responsibilities.

  • Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
  • Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies and perform pre- and post-shift work.
  • Check bar and seating areas for cleanliness and attractiveness ensuring all standards ar aligned to company standards. Inspect all equipment and machinery for proper operation.
  • Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease.
  • Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar, promote and upsell house drinks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Food and Beverage Service, Hotel and Hospitality Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non- alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.
  • Knowledge in inventory management, stock control and experience operating POS system,handling cash and balancing daily sales.
  • Formal bartending training in a 4-star hotel or higher star rated property.
  • Good command in spoken and written English; additional foreign language is an advantage.
