Role Context

This role is for a Beach Equipment Technician at an Ultra Luxury Beachfront Hotel in Mombasa. The technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various beach equipment to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

The Beach Equipment Technician will be responsible for:

• Performing routine inspections and maintenance on all beach equipment, including but not limited to, umbrellas, sun loungers, water sports gear, and safety equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing any mechanical or structural issues with beach equipment.
• Ensuring all equipment is clean, safe, and in good working order.
• Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies, and reporting needs to management.
• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of beach facilities as required.
• Adhering to all safety regulations and hotel policies.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience as a technician, preferably in a hospitality or maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and guest service.
