We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Cosmetology and Beauty Therapy Trainer to deliver exceptional, industry-standard training. The ideal candidate will be a passionate professional dedicated to developing competent graduates by combining expert technical knowledge with effective pedagogical skills. This role demands strict adherence to national TVET regulations and a commitment to premium beauty industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in Cosmetology and Beauty Therapy.
• Develop, review, and update training curricula, lesson plans, and assessment tools in line with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework.
• Operate, manage, and maintain the beauty therapy training unit, including equipment, product inventory, and hygiene standards.
• Supervise and mentor students, providing guidance to enhance their technical skills and professional development.
• Conduct student assessments, maintain accurate academic records, and prepare progress reports.
• Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and technologies through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for all students.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, and industry stakeholders as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Cosmetology, Hairdressing, or Beauty Therapy.
• A recognized teaching certificate (Pedagogical Training) for technical trainers.
• A valid TVETA trainer's license.
• At least 2–3 years of recent practical experience working in a high-quality salon or spa.
• Experience in advanced beauty treatments (e.g., electrotherapy, advanced nail art, chemical hair treatments, spa services).
• Familiarity with the national competency-based training (CBET) system is required

• Good computer skills for record-keeping.
• Strong communication skills in English and Swahili.
