On behalf of our client, we're seeking a highly experienced Branch Manager to lead branch operations for a secured lending microfinance institution. The role is responsible for driving loan disbursement growth, ensuring high collection performance, managing portfolio quality, delivering superior customer service, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The Branch Manager will lead branch staff, optimize operational efficiency, grow the loan book, and ensure profitability while meeting aggressive disbursement and recovery targets.

- Monthly loan disbursement target: KES 100 Million
- Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below 5%
- Monthly collection rate above 95%
- Loan recovery rate improvement of 35% per quarter
- Active client base growth of 25% per quarter
- Client satisfaction score of 90%+
- Branch profitability growth of 25% per quarter
- Staff productivity and engagement improvement of 15–25% per quarter
Responsibilities:
- Drive branch loan disbursements and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Oversee credit appraisal, loan approval, and secured lending processes.
- Lead and manage collections to ensure high recovery rates and low delinquency.
- Monitor and control Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and ensure portfolio quality.
- Supervise, coach, and performance-manage branch staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and effective complaint resolution.
- Enforce compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
- Oversee branch operations, administration, security, and facility standards.
- Implement marketing and business development initiatives to grow the client base.
- Analyze branch performance and prepare management reports.
- Optimize operational efficiency, cost control, and staff productivity.
- Strengthen cross-selling and upselling of financial products.
- Identify and mitigate operational, credit, and fraud risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in microfinance or banking, with at least 3 years in branch management.
- Strong knowledge of secured lending, credit appraisal, and recovery processes.
- Proven ability to drive loan book growth and manage large disbursement targets.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
- Strong financial analysis, risk management, and decision-making abilities.
- High integrity, customer orientation, and regulatory compliance awareness.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
