Building Technical Drawing and Design Lecturer (Health Sciences)

Responsibilities or duties

• Teach technical drawing skills for designing health facilities, laboratories, and clinical spaces.
• Guide students in the application of architectural principles to healthcare infrastructure planning.
• Develop teaching materials on building codes, safety standards, and accessibility in health facilities.
• Supervise student projects on designing functional and sustainable healthcare environments.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.
• Carrying out a needs assessment for curriculum; identify the content gaps in order to produce competent graduates.
• Participation in the University activities: open day, field day, exhibition for the enhancements of the image of the University.
• Interpret curriculum in a bid to synthesize the content and disseminate the same to the learners.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

REQUIREMENTS: PARTTIME LECTURER

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.

Experience needed

At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The successful candidates will be offered a competitive remuneration package in accordance with the existing Terms and Conditions of Service.

Those who are currently teaching for the University on Part-time basis are encouraged to apply.
