Job Summary

The Butcher is responsible for preparing, cutting, portioning, and storing meat products while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. The role also involves inventory management and minimizing product wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Meat Preparation

• Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat according to operational requirements.
• Prepare meat products in accordance with quality standards.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of meat products.

Inventory Management

• Monitor meat inventory and report replenishment requirements.
• Minimize waste through proper stock rotation and portion control.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.

Hygiene & Food Safety

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the butchery area.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Safely operate and maintain butchery equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certificate in Food Production, Butchery, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial butchery or meat processing.

Core Competencies

• Meat cutting and preparation.
