Global Volunteer Opportunity: Calendar Team
About the International Humanity Foundation (IHF)
The International Humanity Foundation (IHF) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through education and grassroots leadership. Operating across five continents, IHF maintains a unique "University" structure where volunteers collaborate to manage our centers in Kenya, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Role Overview: "The Global Pulse"
In a decentralized organization, timing is everything. The Calendar Team is the engine that keeps our global "University" running in sync. You are responsible for managing the organizational schedule, ensuring that hundreds of volunteers across dozens of time zones—from California to Nairobi to Jakarta—know exactly when and where to meet.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Schedule Management: Maintain and update the master IHF calendar for all Division and Team meetings.
- Time-Zone Synchronization: Translate meeting times accurately for our global network, ensuring no volunteer is left behind due to time differences.
- Logistical Support: Distribute meeting reminders and ensure Zoom/Skype links are updated and accessible to all active members.
- Leadership Training & Mentorship: Develop and lead training sessions on "Time-Zone Ethics" and high-level organizational logistics.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Logistical Precision: A "perfectionist" mindset regarding numbers and scheduling.
- Technical Literacy: High proficiency in Google Calendar or similar enterprise-level scheduling tools.
- Global Awareness: A strong understanding of international time zones and UTC offsets.
- Ideal Background: Excellent for those interested in Operations, Project Management, or Business Administration.
Benefits of Joining This Team
- Operational Mastery: Gain unique insight into how a massive, decentralized global organization functions.
- Leadership Development: Master the art of managing organizational "flow" and logistics.
- Certification: Receive an official certificate of service documenting your contribution to IHF’s operational infrastructure.
