About the Role
The Judicial Service Commission invites applications for the position of Chairperson, National Civil Aviation Administrative Review Tribunal. This role is critical in ensuring fairness, transparency, and adherence to the law in matters relating to civil aviation administration.
Key Qualifications
Eligible for appointment as a Judge of the High Court.
Law degree from a recognized university, or Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, or professionally qualified magistrate, or equivalent qualification in a common-law jurisdiction.
At least 10 years’ experience as a distinguished academic, legal practitioner, or in another relevant legal field.
Aggregate of 10 years holding the above qualifications, whether in Kenya or another Commonwealth common-law jurisdiction.
Experience in alternative dispute resolution is an added advantage.
High moral character, integrity, and impartiality (must meet Chapter Six of the Constitution).
Core Competencies
High degree of professional competence
Strong oral and written communication skills
Good temperament and judgment
Commitment to public and community service
Remuneration
Allowances and remuneration will be determined by the Judicial Service Commission in consultation with the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
