Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a consultancy services company incorporated under the laws of Kenya.
Responsibilities or duties
- Oversee daily operations of all engineering and maintenance activities within the facility.
- Ensure the proper functioning of critical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Develop and implement structured preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize operational downtime.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of the maintenance staff.
- Assign daily tasks, manage work schedules, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget while monitoring utility and repair expenses.
- Source and negotiate contracts with external suppliers and service providers for cost control.
- Ensure full compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and oversee renovation or upgrade projects.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Experience needed
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in engineering or facilities maintenance.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, and fire systems.
Experience in the lodge, resort, or hospitality industry is considered a significant advantage.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
