Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
Dusting and wiping surfaces, furniture, and windows
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and kitchens
Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles
Restocking supplies like soap and toilet paper
Adhering to safety protocols and properly handling chemicals
Reporting maintenance issues or damages
Ensuring security of the area at the end of a shift, if applicable
Attention to detail: Thoroughness in cleaning tasks
Physical stamina: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
Time management: Ability to organize workload and complete tasks efficiently
Independence: Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
Communication: Good verbal communication and ability to follow instructions
Problem-solving: Ability to identify and solve minor issues
Work ethic: Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is often required or preferred.
Experience: Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is often preferred but not always mandatory.
Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
Physical ability: Capable of performing the physical demands of the job, which may include lifting heavy items.
Other: A background check may be required for certain positions. Some roles may require a valid driver's license.
