County Government of Kisumu
Responsibilities or duties
- Support implementation of National Climate Change Action Plan and County Climate Change Action Plans
- Mainstream climate change into sectoral plans, programs and projects
- Promote climate-resilient development practices
- Participate in climate change awareness programs and capacity building
- Support climate modelling, environmental monitoring and reporting
- Assist in coordination of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects
- Support implementation of environmental policies and NEMA recommendations
- Lead climate resilience initiatives
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Forestry, Geography or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Registration with relevant professional body
- GIS, research and analytical skills will be an added advantage
- EIA/EA certification by NEMA is an added advantage
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by Commission for University Education (CUE). In addition, during the interview, they will be required to submit their academic certificates authenticated by the issuing Institutions to the Board.
Chapter 6 requirements will only be required from successful applicants.
