Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and field-driven Coast Field Coordinator to support implementation of community programs across multiple initiatives in the Coast region. The role focuses on coordinating field activities, strengthening community engagement, supporting stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective program delivery. The ideal candidate is passionate about community development, highly mobile, detail-oriented, and experienced in ASAL or rural contexts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation & Coordination
- Coordinate daily implementation of different programs
- Conduct MHS monitoring visits and track learner progress and transitions
- Support learner transition to formal education, including starter kits
- Organize community dialogues, summits, mentorships, trainings, and outreach activities
- Support scholarship processes (interviews, household assessments, follow-ups)
- Identify and escalate field risks (safeguarding, insecurity, attendance issues)
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Community Mobilization
- Engage government stakeholders (MoE, Gender, DCS), schools, and community leaders
- Mobilize learners, parents, facilitators, and partners for program activities
- Represent the organization in county forums, events, and stakeholder engagements
- Strengthen community relationships through regular engagement and visits
3. Administrative & Logistics Support
- Coordinate logistics for field activities, trainings, and community events
- Support procurement processes (PRFs, quotations, vendor coordination)
- Manage field advances, invoices, and documentation
- Coordinate transport, venues, accommodation, and service providers
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Learning (MERL Support)
- Collect and submit accurate field reports from facilitators and teams
- Support donor reports, concept notes, and program updates
- Document impact stories, case studies, and lessons learned
- Support MERL tracking, compliance, and reporting systems
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in community-based program implementation
- Experience in ASAL/rural settings (strong advantage)
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- MS Office proficiency; Salesforce/ERP/Canva is an added advantage
