Purpose of the position:
The Coast Commercial Supervisor will support the growth and execution of the company’s commercial activities within the Coast region by coordinating sales support, trade marketing initiatives, hospitality partnerships, retail performance improvement, and regional brand visibility activities.
The role will serve as a key link between the factory, distributors, general trade initiatives, retail channels, hospitality partners, and the Sales Manager to ensure effective execution of commercial priorities and sustainable market growth within the region.
Duties and responsibilities:
Commercial & Sales Support
- Support implementation of the company’s commercial strategy within the Coast region.
- Coordinate and monitor General Trade (GT) market activities and support outlet expansion initiatives.
- Work closely with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners to improve product availability and visibility.
- Support growth of the factory shop through local market activations and relationship management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and customer feedback and provide regular reports to management.
- Assist in driving sales performance across assigned channels and territories.
Trade Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Coordinate regional marketing activities, promotions, activations, and brand visibility initiatives.
- Support expansion of the client;s brand within hotels, restaurants, hospitality outlets, and other strategic accounts along the Coast region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitality and commercial partners.
- Ensure effective execution of branding and merchandising standards within the market.
- Coordinate participation in trade events, exhibitions, and local commercial engagements.
Retail & Customer Support
- Support improvement of retail channel performance through regular outlet engagement and follow-up.
- Monitor execution standards within retail outlets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Address customer concerns and escalate operational issues affecting service delivery or product performance.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and commercial relationships within the region.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate communication between the Coast market operations and the rest of commercial teams.
- Prepare periodic sales, market intelligence, activation, and performance reports.
- Track and monitor commercial KPIs within the assigned region.
- Support implementation of new commercial projects and regional business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in sales, trade marketing, commercial coordination, or FMCG operations.
- Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, retail outlets, or hospitality channels is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Coast market and regional commercial dynamics.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment preferred.
