KSPCA is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and purpose-driven Communications Officer to help tell the stories that bring our mission to life. In this role, you’ll be responsible for strengthening our connection with supporters, members, partners, and the wider public through engaging and impactful communications.

Responsibilities or duties

You’ll play a key role in promoting KSPCA’s work by developing compelling content, managing digital platforms, coordinating media engagement, and ensuring that our supporters feel informed and inspired to take action. From showcasing successful animal rescues and adoptions to supporting fundraising campaigns and public education initiatives, your work will help amplify our voice and expand our impact across Kenya.

In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication of KSPCA’s programmes, events, campaigns, and achievements. You’ll also help build relationships with media partners, support educational visits and events, and monitor the effectiveness of communication activities to continuously improve our outreach.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, and passionate about creating meaningful content. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, writing for different audiences, and using digital communication tools to increase engagement and reach. A creative eye for storytelling, photography, social media, and design will be a strong advantage.

Experience needed

Experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field is important, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with social media management tools, and website content management systems will be beneficial.
