The County Government of Machakos has announced a major recruitment drive for health sector professionals and support staff across various departments within the County Government of Machakos. The recruitment seeks to strengthen healthcare service delivery by filling positions in clinical care, nursing, laboratory services, radiology, rehabilitation, pharmacy, public health, nutrition, administration, engineering, and support services.
The vacancy is based in Machakos County and will support the county’s continued investment in quality healthcare services and improved access to medical care for residents.
Responsibilities or duties
- Participating in oral health demonstration, exhibitions and giving lectures to community and school
- Collecting data for fluoride testing in water samples, analyzing and interpreting results and advising the relevant authorities accordingly
- Diagnosis and treatment of common dental conditions
- Temporary and permanent dental restorations
- Reducing simple fractures of jaws
- Extraction and disimpactions
- Drainage of dental abscess
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘C’ plain and grade C plain in English/Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences and grade C-(minus) in either Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences, Mathematics or General Sciences
- Diploma in community oral health from Kenya Medical Training college or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
