This is a part-time lecturer position at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.

Responsibilities or duties

• Teach the principles of comparative education including the systematic study and comparison of education systems across countries and contexts.
• Supervise students in comparative analysis of educational policies, curricula, and outcomes across different settings.
• Conduct research on educational transfer, international assessments, and comparative educational performance and policy lessons.
• Train students in comparative research methods, case study design, and cross-national data analysis.
• Develop teaching materials on educational reforms, globalization, and international influences on national educational systems.
• Guide students in understanding the cultural, political, and economic factors shaping educational systems and practices globally.
• Collaborate with international organizations and education ministries on comparative education research and policy reviews.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
