Job Summary
Spez Catering Limited is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure the company maintains high standards of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will oversee compliance processes, maintain required documentation, and support the implementation of best practices across all catering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, hygiene, and public health regulations
- Maintain and update compliance policies, records, and operational procedures
- Conduct routine internal inspections of kitchen, storage, and food preparation areas
- Monitor food handling, preparation, and storage practices to ensure regulatory standards are met
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and coordinate official inspections
- Ensure all operational licenses, health certificates, and permits remain valid and up to date
- Train staff on hygiene, food safety, and compliance procedures
- Investigate compliance issues and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Prepare compliance and inspection reports for management
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a diploma in Public Health, Food Science, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a compliance, audit, or risk role within hospitality or FMCG sectors
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, food safety standards, and quality assurance systems
- Experience with compliance tools and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
Preferred
- HACCP or Food Safety certification
- Experience working in catering or large-scale food service operations
