Inua AI Group is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-driven Compliance Project Manager to support the execution of our compliance and risk management programs. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role serves as the operational engine of the compliance team — coordinating activities across internal teams and clients, gathering the information and evidence required for compliance assessments and audits, and ensuring that every artifact is accurately captured and stored in the appropriate location within our Compliance Pulse management tool.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management discipline with excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of common compliance frameworks. They thrive on keeping multiple workstreams on track, following up with the right people at the right time, and maintaining a clean, audit-ready system of record.
Responsibilities or duties
- Coordinate and drive day-to-day compliance project activities, tracking tasks, deadlines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple concurrent engagements.
- Collect required information, documentation, and evidence from the appropriate stakeholders — whether internal teams or external clients — to support compliance assessments, audits, and framework requirements.
- Ensure all collected information and artifacts are accurately recorded and saved to the correct location within the Compliance Pulse management tool, maintaining a complete and audit-ready system of record.
- Serve as a central point of coordination between the Compliance Manager, internal departments, and client contacts to keep compliance initiatives moving forward.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to obtain outstanding items, resolve gaps, and keep evidence collection on schedule.
- Maintain project plans, status trackers, and timelines, and provide regular status updates to the Compliance Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Support readiness for audits and assessments across frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and HIPAA by organizing documentation and confirming completeness.
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to streamline evidence collection, documentation, and overall compliance workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive internal and client information with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Working knowledge of common compliance and security frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and HIPAA (familiarity with others such as PCI DSS, HITRUST, or CMMC is a plus).
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both internal teams and external clients.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially in documentation and record-keeping.
- Comfortable working with compliance, GRC, or project management software tools.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Experience needed
- 2+ years of experience in project management, compliance coordination, audit support, or a related operational role.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
- Preferred Skills: Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or HIPAA audits and assessments.
- Familiarity with GRC or compliance management platforms (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, OneTrust, or similar) and the discipline of evidence management.
- Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or compliance certification (e.g., CCEP) a plus.
- Experience working in a cybersecurity, managed services, or client-facing environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management abilities.
