Responsibilities or duties

Teach the principles of computer networking including network architectures, protocols, and communication systems.

Supervise students in practical sessions on network configuration, routing, switching, and network performance optimization.

Conduct research on wireless networks, optical communications, and next-generation internet technologies.

Train students in network troubleshooting, network security, and quality of service management.

Develop teaching materials on network design, implementation, and management frameworks.

Guide students in the simulation and modeling of network topologies and traffic patterns.

Collaborate with telecommunications industry partners on network infrastructure projects and innovations.

Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
