Responsibilities or duties

• Teach the core concepts of computer science including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and computer architecture.
• Supervise students in programming projects, system development, and performance analysis of computing systems.
• Conduct research on system optimization, distributed computing, and high-performance computing.
• Train students in systems administration, virtualization, cloud computing, and scalable infrastructure.
• Develop teaching materials on computer organization, assembly language, and system-level programming.
• Guide students in understanding hardware-software interaction, memory management, and input-output systems.
• Collaborate with research institutions and industry on innovative computing systems and applications.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.

iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;

iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.

v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered

vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.

Experience needed

Vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.

At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
