This is a four-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Architecture & Territory Design
Strategic Framework: Design and operationalize the pilot’s control organization to ensure all objectives are met in strict compliance with contractual specifications.
Market Segmentation: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies across four key segments: Community Markets (specifically Eastleigh & high-density estates), Premium Urban Zones, Chamas/Women’s Groups, and Gen Z/Campus Communities.
Route Optimization: Define clear territory allocations to eliminate overlap and construct data-backed daily/weekly route plans for maximum efficiency.
Activation Management: Oversee the full activation calendar, including community sessions, gym partnerships, and campus pop-ups, while refining sales scripts to ensure they align perfectly with premium brand positioning.
Field Team Management & Training
Talent Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end recruitment, on-boarding, and continuous development of Sales Agents and Ambassadors.
Training Orchestration: centralized coordination of all training initiatives; this includes sourcing expert trainers, managing schedules, and ensuring the field force is equipped with all necessary learning materials and resources.
Performance Culture: Set individual revenue targets aligned with pilot goals, run rigorous weekly performance reviews to monitor bundle conversion and adoption, and swiftly implement corrective actions for under-performance.
KPI Tracking & Data Systems
Data Infrastructure: Build and maintain structured tracking dashboards (CRM/Google Sheets) to monitor critical metrics including Revenue Per Agent, Bundle Conversion Rates, Average Order Value (AOV), Uptake, and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
Insight Generation: Enforce 100% daily reporting compliance from the field team, consolidating raw data to identify emerging patterns, optimize routes, and drive strategic decision-making.
Brand & Experience Oversight
Brand Guardianship: Ensure every field activation and customer interaction reflects Virtuous Life’s premium positioning, including the approval of all field materials and setups.
Operational Discipline: Monitor team professionalism and strictly enforce pricing discipline to prevent unauthorized discounting or brand dilution.
Coordination & Reporting
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central liaison between the Field Team, Marketing Consultant, Financial Consultant, and Founder, ensuring seamless information flow via managed communication channels (WhatsApp).
Reporting: Produce comprehensive weekly performance summaries and detailed monthly, mid-pilot, and final evaluation reports to track progress against strategic milestones.
Compliance, Budget & Delivery
Project Governance: guarantee the pilot is completed on time and within the approved budget, preventing cost overruns through rigorous monitoring of operational spend.
Audit Readiness: Ensure all activities strictly adhere to grant funding guidelines and maintain immaculate documentation for future audit purposes.
Commercial, Retail & Route-to-Market Experience:
Demonstrated experience introducing and scaling products across retail, wholesale, and commercial channels, including supermarkets, pharmacies, distributors, institutions, and modern trade environments. Strong understanding of route-to-market strategy, retail listings, wholesale orders, consignment models, merchandising, sell-through strategies, pricing, trade margins, and distributor management.
Customer Insights & Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
Develop a deep understanding of our customers, buying behaviors, and market segments to define and continuously refine our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs). Identify high-potential customer segments, purchasing triggers, barriers to adoption, and opportunities for market expansion across schools, universities, retail customers, professional women, and community channels.
Customer Acquisition & Growth
Design and execute customer acquisition strategies across field sales, retail, wholesale, institutional, and digital channels to drive sustainable growth. Monitor acquisition costs, conversion rates, customer retention, and repeat purchase behaviour while identifying the most effective channels and territories for expansion.
Commercial Playbooks & Sales Enablement
Develop repeatable commercial playbooks for customer acquisition, retail onboarding, wholesale partnerships, and field sales execution to enable scale. Create clear processes, scripts, training materials, and best practices that improve team productivity, accelerate onboarding, and ensure consistency across territories and sales channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Industry Fit: 3–5 years of proven experience in Field Sales Management, Trade Marketing, or FMCG Operations, with a mandatory background in premium or aspirational consumer brands. You understand that selling a premium product requires a different approach than selling a commodity.
Field Leadership (Boots on the Ground): You are not a "desk manager." You have hands-on experience recruiting, training, and riding along with sales agents. You know how to correct a pitch in real-time and motivate a commission-based team to perform.
Results-Oriented: A demonstrated track record of delivering high returns and hitting revenue targets. You can provide examples of past pilots or campaigns where you met or exceeded sales quotas.
Strategic Capability: Demonstrated experience designing territory architectures and route-to-market strategies that minimize conflict and maximize coverage (experience with Eastleigh or specific community segmentation is a plus).
