The County Government of Machakos has announced a major recruitment drive for health sector professionals and support staff across various departments within the County Government of Machakos. The recruitment seeks to strengthen healthcare service delivery by filling positions in clinical care, nursing, laboratory services, radiology, rehabilitation, pharmacy, public health, nutrition, administration, engineering, and support services.

The vacancy is based in Machakos County and will support the county’s continued investment in quality healthcare services and improved access to medical care for residents.

Responsibilities or duties

i. Preparing of raw food for cooking

ii. Cleanliness of equipment used in production

iii. Maintain hygiene by ensuring cleaning of the kitchen and its surroundings

iv. Setting up and preparing equipment for use in food preparation and production

v. Alerting the supervisor of any defective equipment

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘D’ plain or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution

ii. Craft certificate in food production and Beverage Production, Sales and |Services or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

OR

iii. Attended a formal course lasting not less than two (2) months in food and Production organized by the Kenya Utalii college or other recognized institution.
